Technical________________________[TECH] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ++++++++++++ || || || Skills || || || ++++++++++++ Everytime you kill an enemy, you get Blood. Blood doesn't just fill up your Necro Meter. It's also the currency used for buying skills. There are 9 skill categories, and each category has 5 upgrades to choose from. =============================================================================== Fast Attacks [SKI1] =============================================================================== |-The Tenderizer-| Cost- 500 Description- Rapidly tap X and Rick will land a short combo of basic fast attacks on the enemy. This is a decent move to pick up at the beginning of the game. It might be kind of weak, but it's also pretty cheap. |-Windmill-| Cost- 1,000 Description- Hit X four times in a row. On the fourth X, he'll spin around and then hit the enemy. This spin will knock away enemies that are right next to you. Since the range is small, this has limited usefulness as a crowd control move. Still, it's cheap, and it will keep you covered while you wail on one monster. |-Face Melter-| Cost- 3,000; Must buy The Tenderizer to unlock. Description- Rapidly tap X and after you land enough hits, Rick will jump on them and finish them off with a couple more taps of the X button. A little expensive for what you get. It's not bad, but it's not that good either. You can probably save this one for later unless your strategy in every fight is to just jam on the X button. |-More Cushion for the Pushin'-| Cost- 8,000; Must buy Windmill to unlock. Description- This makes your fast attack combos last longer. 8,000 is a little steep, but if you enjoy just mashing the X button, pick this up. |-To 11-| Cost- 10,000; Must buy More Cushion for the Pushin' to unlock. Description- This makes your fast attack combos last even longer. This one is just a little too pricey. If you enjoy mashing on the X button, pick it up, but you'd probably be better served just learning to incorporate Y and B into your fighting repetoire. =============================================================================== Heavy Attacks [SKI2] =============================================================================== |-Uppercut Overdrive-| Cost- 500 Description- Hit someone with X, then press and hold Y to charge the uppercut. It doesn't do a lot of damage, but it's cheap, and it will knock most enemies on their ass. |-Your Face, My Fist-| Cost- 1,000 Description- Press Y, then hold Y to charge up the attack. Let go and Rick will dash forward and punch anything in his way. It's fairly cheap, but is also kind of hard to use in a combat situation. Still, it never hurts to have one more move in your arsenal. Plus, since this attack will pummel a line of enemies, you can use it to great effectiveness in side-scrolling sequences. |-TNT-| Cost- 3,000 Description- This is an upgrade for your slam attack. To use it, press and hold Y and aim with the thumbstick. Rick will pound the ground. This upgrade increases the damage and radius of the pound. It turns the slam attack into something that's actually useful, a crowd control move. |-A Bomb-| Cost- 8,000 Description- Hold Y to do a slam attack, and as you are slamming down, hold Y again to do another slam attack. This is a bit expensive, but worth it. Couple this with the TNT and Gamma Bomb upgrades to get some serious crowd control going. |-Gamma Bomb-| Cost- 12,000; Must buy TNT to unlock. Description- This is another upgrade for the slam attack. It's expensive, but still buy it if you can spare the BLOOD. The ability to effectively use crowd control attacks will be very handy late in the game. =============================================================================== Grab [SKI3] =============================================================================== |-Crowd Surf-| Cost- 1,000 Description- Press B to grab an enemy, then press X and Rick will swing them around in a circle, hitting other enemies. This isn't powerful, but it's fairly cheap and is great for crowd control early in the game. |-One For the Road-| Cost- 3,000 Description- If you hit an enemy once or twice with X, then press B, you'll automatically grab them. 3,000 BLOOD might seem like a lot just to be able to grab someone while doing a combo, but it's worth it. Couple this with other Grab moves and you'll have some great crowd control strategies at your disposal. |-Tear You to Pieces-| Cost- 6,000 Description- Press B to grab an enemy, and then press B while you are holding them to rip off an arm. This isn't cheap, but it's very useful. Any weapon will help you out significantly, and arms are no exceptions. |-Carousel of Doom-| Cost- 9000; Must buy Crowd Surf to unlock. Description- This increases the power of your Crowd Surf move. A lot. If you enjoy using that move even a little bit, then pick this up. It makes for some great crowd control. |-Meat Shot-| Cost- 12,000 Description- Press B, then hold Y to throw an enemy. You can do this from the start, but Meat Shot adds a significant amount of power to it. Although useful, it's also expensive, so only pick it up if you frequently grab enemies. =============================================================================== Sprint/Roll [SKI4] =============================================================================== |-Ram-| Cost- 1,000 Description- Hold Right Trigger and press Y to make Rick dash forward, ramming enemies out of the way. This won't do much in the way of damage, but it's fairly cheap, and it's useful if you get surrounded by enemies. |-Tackle Pack-| Cost- 2,000 Description- Hold Right Trigger and press B to tackle an enemy. Then press X, Y, or B while on top of him to pummel him. This would be more useful if you were able to end the combo faster. Instead, when you tackle someone, you have to beat him to death, which can take a couple of seconds. Usually, another enemy will come along and hit you during this time. This move is great for taking out the last enemy in a bunch, especially if you've saved the biggest bad guy for last. Unfortunately, it'll just get you hurt any other time. You can probably pass this up until later in the game. |-The Gore Factory-| Cost- 3,000; Must buy Tackle Pack to unlock. Description- Roll forward with the Right Bumper and as you come out of the roll, press X, Y, or B to attack an enemy. This one is pretty helpful for allowing you to remain mobile while still being offensive. |-Unstoppa-bull-| Cost- 5,000 Description- This makes you invincible while you're rolling. It's useful in certain situations, mainly things like boss fights where rolling is important. If you fail to roll out of the way in time, it won't matter since you'll be invincible. It's also fairly cheap, so pick it up if you've got some money to spare. |-Psycho Ram-| Cost- 10,000; Must buy Ram to unlock. Description- This increases the power and durating of the ram move. Ram is good for shaking off a bunch of enemies, but it just doesn't have that extra oomph to really make it useful. Psycho Ram is that extra oomph. Take it if you can afford it. =============================================================================== Slash [SKI5] =============================================================================== |-Splatter Slash-| Cost- You obtain this automatically after completing Phase 4. Description- Hold the Left Trigger and press X and two huge blades will come out of your arms and Rick will automatically slice in front of him. This will instantly kill anything it hits. It's powerful, but its range is limited and it eats up an entire segment of your Necro Meter. Most effective if you're trapped by hordes of enemies. If you enjoy using it, invest in the Splatter Splash Upgrades as soon as possible. |-Splatter Jump Slash-| Cost- 3,000; Must complete Phase 4 to unlock. Description- Jump, then hold the Left Trigger and press X to do the Splatter Slash in mid-air. This is a fairly useless move that you can save until later in the game. |-Splatter Slash Upgrade 1-| Cost- 6,000; Must complete Phase 4 to unlock. Description- This increases the range of the Splatter Slash attack. If you enjoy the attack, buy this. Not a big fan? Wait until later in the game to pick it up. |-Splatter Shredder-| Cost- 9,000: Must complete Phase 4 to unlock. Description- Press and hold the Right Trigger to run and press and hold the Left Trigger and X at about the same time. You'll run towards the enemy and do a slicing move. Although it allows you to reach out and kill enemies farther away, this move is just too expensive for what you get. |-Splatter Slash Upgrade 2-| Cost- 12,000; Must buy Splatter Slash Upgrade 1 to unlock. Description- Increases the range of the Splatter Slash attack even further. You can probably hold off on this for a while, since Splatter Slash isn't all that useful most of the time. =============================================================================== Smash [SKI6] =============================================================================== |-Splatter Smash-| Cost- You obtain this automatically after completing Phase 6. Description- Hold the Left Trigger and press Y and you'll smash the ground and cause spikes to erupt. This is practically identical in usefulness to the Splatter Slash, although it does slightly more damage but is more focused in one direction. Using this eats up a whole segment of your Necro Meter, so use sparingly. |-Splatter Jump Slam-| Cost- 3,000; Must complete Phase 6 to unlock. Description- Jump, then press the Left Trigger and Y to do a Splatter Smash in mid-air. This is a fairly useless move that can be saved until later in the game. |-Splatter Smash Upgrade 1-| Cost- 6,000; Must complete Phase 6 to unlock. Description- This increases the range of the Splatter Smash attack. If you enjoy the attack, buy this. Not a big fan? Wait until later in the game to pick it up. |-Splatter Ram-| Cost- 9,000; Must complete Phase 6 to unlock. Description- Press and hold the Right Trigger to run and press and hold the Left Trigger and Y at about the same time. You'll go charging through enemies. This is expensive, but can be useful at busting through a group of enemies. |-Splatter Smash Upgrade 2-| Cost- 12,000; Must buy Splatter Smash Upgrade 1 to unlock. Description- Increases the range of the Splatter Smash attack even further. If you enjoy this, pick it up. If you dont enjoy this, still keep it in mind. This move is, in my opinion, just better than the Splatter Slash. It will allows you to cut through a whole lot of enemies, and later in the game, this will come in handy. =============================================================================== Health [SKI7] =============================================================================== |-Splatter Siphon-| Cost- You automatically acquire this ability near the beginning of the game. Description- Pressing Left Trigger and B causes Rick to send out a bunch of tendrils that damage enemies and restore your health. To restore more health, keep pressing B as he siphons. This move is immensely helpful, especially on harder difficulties, and you get it at the beginning of the game for free, so have fun. |-Health +25%-| Cost- 1,000 Description- Adds 25% to your health bar. Useful, for obvious reasons. On harder difficulties, take this early on. |-Health +25%-| Cost- 4,000; Must buy the first Health +25% to unlock. Description- Adds another 25% to your health bar. Obviously useful, take it as soon as you can. |-Health +50%-| Cost- 8,000; Must buy the second Health +25% to unlock. Description- Adds 50% to your health bar. Take it as soon as you can, it'll help out a lot, especially late in the game. |-Splatter Siphon Upgrade-| Cost- 10,000 Description- Increases the range of the Splatter Siphon. This seems a bit more useful than it actually is. Don't get me wrong, it is useful, but you generally won't need such a large range. Most enemies are either in your face all the time, or so slow that you can group them together and then use Splatter Siphon. Plus it's kind of expensive. Save this for later in the game. =============================================================================== Mask [SKI8] =============================================================================== |-Berserker!-| Cost- You obtain this automatically after completing Phase 2. Description- Press the Left Bumper when your Necro Meter has at least three segments to enter Berserker mode. While using this ability, you'll be stronger and faster, and will kill pretty much anything in one hit. Your meter will slowly drain down to zero while using this, so don't go overboard with it. |-Necro Bar +1-| Cost- 4,000; Must complete Phase 2 to unlock. Description- Adds one segment to the Necro Meter. Not exactly cheap, but still worth it if you're a fan of using Necro Meter attacks like Splatter Siphon. |-Berserker Radial Combo-| Cost- 8,000; Must complete Phase 2 to unlock. Description- Press X three times while in Berserker mode to cause Rick to spin around while attacking. Berserker is good. Real good. Too good, in fact. Seriously, since you kill just about anything in one hit, having any kind of combo is really just unnecessary. It does allow you to hit a little farther, but save your 8,000 BLOOD for something that makes more of a difference, unless you just really enjoy using Berserker. |-Necro Bar +2-| Cost- 10,000; Must buy Necro Bar +1 to unlock. Description- Adds two segments to the Necro Meter. Pretty expensive, but well worth it later in the game. |-Berserker Directional Combo-| Cost- 11,000; Must complete Phase 2 to unlock. Description- Press Y three times to use this directional attack. Read the description for the Berserker Radial Combo. It applies here as well. Even more so, to be honest. 11,000 BLOOD is expensive. There are many more useful things out there. =============================================================================== Weapons [SKI9] =============================================================================== |-Weaponized Grab-| Cost- 1,000 Description- This one is particularly useful. While holding a weapon, press B to grab an enemy and you will automatically kill it. You can't spam this attack, but it still adds even more power to the weapons, and it's fairly cheap. |-Weapon Durability +25%-| Cost- 3,000 Description- Makes weapons last longer. This is very useful. Weapons allow you to mow through most enemies, but they aren't exactly common, and have a tendency to break in the middle of a fight. |-Power Head Throw-| Cost- 4,000 Description- Hold Y and aim with the thumbstick while holding a head. This is a tricky one. On one hand, there isn't really that much head throwing in the game, unless you use things like the cleaver that specifically create heads to throw. On the other hand, it's cheap, and it adds a significant amount of power to the head throw move. Probably can't hurt to pick this up if there's nothing else you really want. |-Weapon Durability +25%-| Cost- 8,000; Must buy the first Weapon Durability +25% to unlock. Description- Makes weapons last even longer. Again, very useful. Pick it up if you've got the spare BLOOD. |-Rapid Fire Shotgun-| Cost- 10,000 Description- This allows you to rapidly fire the shotgun. This is probably one of the more useless upgrades in the game. Not only are shotguns really rare, but they do massive damage. Yes, they are slow, and the extra speed is useful, but not that damn useful. Not enough for 10,000 BLOOD. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- +++++++++++++++++ || || || Walkthrough || || || +++++++++++++++++ You can also find this guide on the CheatMasters blog at: http://www.cheatmasters.com/blog/2011/09/08/splatterhouse-faq-walkthrough- guide/ =============================================================================== Phase 1: Satan's Masque [WAL1] =============================================================================== After the beginning cutscene, you'll be immediately thrown into the action. Just remember that pressing X will make you do a radial attack, Y will perform a directional attack, B will grab an enemy, and A is jump. After destroying a couple dozen enemies, the game tells you to press Up on the D-Pad. This activates Mask Eye, which will tell you where you need to be going. In this case, it points you to the door on the upper floor, so climb the stairs that aren't broken and make your way over to it. Keep going and you'll enter a room and hear Jen scream. At this point, two enemies come through the windows and you'll receive some text on how to perform combos, which is essentially just mashing X and Y. Holding Y charges an attack. More text will pop up telling you to press B when an enemies is glowing red to perform a Splatter Kill. You can also press Left Trigger and the B button to use Splatter Siphon, which restores your own health. Take out the other enemies that show up and move on. Soon you'll see Jen. You can't get to her, and instead you are forced to fight some more enemies that can crawl on walls. Luckily, they are weaker than the standard monsters, so take them down and go through the door on the right. You'll have to press B to kick open the next door. Pick up the nailboards on the ground and use it to fight off the next wave of enemies. The game neglects to mention this, but now would be a really good time to get acquainted with the Right Bumper, which will cause you to roll around and dodge attacks. The enemies are endless, so move quickly through the fireplace door when it opens up. Go up the next set of stairs and take down all of the crawlers that come in through the windows. Break all of the boxes in front of the door and kick it open. Kick open the door in the next room and a cutscene plays where you get your arm ripped off and thrown through the floor. After you regain control of Rick, wait a few seconds and your arm will regenerate. You can pick up the severed arm on the floor and use it as a weapon, too. Enter the open door to your left and fight the crawlers. Pick up the 2x4 in here and go back into the main room. Larger enemies will come out of the four pods/tanks here, but they aren't too difficult. Use charge attacks to take them out quicker. Kick open the door behind you and head up the stairs. At the top, jump up and press Y above the green light coming through the floor. You'll smash through it. Down here you have to take care of four more of the brutes and some crawlers. Once they're all dead, punch the eyeball and go down the newly formed staircase. In this room, pick up the 2x4s and take down the brutes. Go down the next set of stairs and clear this room of brutes and regular enemies. You'll now be forced to fight the tentacled demon that ripped your arm off earlier. This guy isn't as bad as he looks. Just avoid any tentacle attacks he might use and beat the hell out of him. When you're able to, use the Splatter Kill move to finish him off, if you want. Hold both thumbsticks up to choke him with his own tentacle, then press Y to pop his head off. After he's dead, you'll be shown how to buy skill upgrades. Walk through the opening to end this phase. =============================================================================== Phase 2: The Doll That Bled [WAL2] =============================================================================== As you descend the ramp, watch to your left. A brute will bust out of one of the gates. Kick open the door and you'll notice two valves. Turn the rightmost valve to open a gate with some brutes and a Photo Piece. Kill them all, hit the eyeball closest to the door, and you'll automatically go down the stairs into a side-scrolling type sequence. Pick up the cleaver and move forward, eliminating the crawlers as you go. Punch the beams and boxes out of the way and sprint over three sets of spikes. Roll under the thing in the cage and sprint past the last set of spikes. At the top of the stairs you'll have to jump three gaps and time it so you don't get hit by the huge swinging maces. Roll under another cage and kill the crawlers. Jump across the next two gaps and continue on, taking out crawlers as you go. There are a few more spike traps to traverse, and then you'll fall down a hole and exit the side-scrolling area. Continue through this hallway until you reach the next room. In here there are two gates with enemies behind them. Go up to each gate and lift it by pressing B, then holding both thumbsticks up. Defeat the enemies behind both gates and spikes will pop out of the skulls. Now you have to grab one of the infinitely respawning enemies by pushing B, then hold Y and aim at the spike. Release the Y button to kick the enemy onto the spike. Do this for both of them to open the door. Continue through the hallways until you reach the next room. In here you'll have to take out some normal enemies and another tentacle-armed demon. He's even easier than before, though. Lift the gate with the enemies, take them out, and throw more enemies onto the next two spikes that come out. You'll have to aim up a bit this time. There's a 2x4 in the room behind the gate that you must lift. Save it until you've impaled the enemies on the spikes. There's a single brute in the next hallway. Once you reach the next room, you'll have to do more spike impaling. This time, open the right gate and take out the brutes that appear. Hit the switch at the end, near the lead pipe, to bring all the spikes out. Move back into the main room and start throwing enemies at the spikes. You only have to hit two spikes on the same side to open the door. Go up the stairs and through the hallways until you reach the next room. In here you'll have to fight off a bunch of crawlers and brutes. In the next room you will have to fight off a bunch of crawlers. There are 2x4s in here too. In the next hallway you will encounter a glowing crawler. It doesn't take much damage, but it can dish it out, so finish it quickly. Keep going until you reach a circular button on the floor. Jump up and press Y to slam down on it. This opens up another hallway. In here, some of the walls have spikes on them, and the whole wall will come out. There are three of these in this hallway and three more around the corner. After the last set, be prepared to take on some brutes around the next corner, then head upstairs. Go through the big door straight ahead of you. In this hallway you'll encounter some crawlers, a glowing crawler, and then more crawlers before the end. Drop down and you'll be in an upside-down room. Normal enemies and a glowing crawler will drop in on you. Take out a few of these guys and the door ahead will open up. In this next hallway you will have to dodge pieces of furniture as they slide towards you. Just stick to the wall and you'll be fine. Enter the room at the end to begin the boss battle. The first part of this fight just involves dodging all the crap that the doll monster throws at you. Once that's finished, it will try to smash you in a variety of ways, mainly by swinging and smashing the ground. Try to move in and hit it a few times just after it finishes attacking, because it's arms will usually be stuck in the ground. If you attack the legs, don't get greedy. If you stick around for too long, he'll start to move and the leg will hit you. To top it off, since you've just been hit, you won't be able to move, and the doll will shoot you while you're immobile. After you take its health bar down to zero, the floor will give way and you'll enter a quicktime event where you have to mash the Y button. In this next area, you'll be at chest height with the doll. You'll really need to watch out for two attacks, one where he sweeps the floor, and another where he shoots his hands out towards you. Both can be jumped over if you time it very carefully. He'll also do something where he'll start spinning his clock hand and drive it into the floor. When he does this, attack it. You'll do massive damage to him this time, but you have to take his life bar down to zero twice. After that, another quicktime event requires you to mash the B button. You'll then fall through the floor. This next area is the exact same as the first, except the doll recovers quicker from attacks. After you dodge all the furniture, you only need to know one tactic: whenever the terror mask says something like "look out!", "run!", or "oh shit!", sprint out of the way. Then come back and try to land a couple of hits on the doll before it recovers. Try to stay at medium range from the boss. Any closer and you won't be able to dodge the attacks; farther away and you won't have enough time to hit him after he attacks. Once you've got all of his moves down, this part ceases to be hard and just becomes kind of long. Once he's life is down to zero, you'll have to hit the Left Bumper to enter Berserk mode. Mash the A button, then mash the X button. Finally, hold both thumbsticks up. Be careful not to mess up here. Redoing the entire last sequence of the boss battle because you didn't press a button properly is just embarassing. Phase 2 ends after you watch the final cutscene. =============================================================================== Phase 3: In the Shadow of the Abyss [WAL3] =============================================================================== There's a lead pipe to your left at the very beginning. Move forward and go right. You'll see an enemy that's reminiscent of a junkyard dog. Move towards him and more will show up. These guys are quick but weak. Just watch out for the red target that indicates where they're about to jump to. After you take out all of the dogs, a container will fall that you can climb into. Make your way over to the console on the yellow vehicle and destroy it to lower another container into place. Keep going until you drop down in front of a large, frightening steamroller with spikes on it. You'll have to run away from this as it comes towards you. As you run, you'll also have to jump and roll to dodge sawblades along the path. There are some crawlers at the end. Drop down and you'll still be in a side-scrolling area, though you won't be running from anything. Instead, just watch out for blood that shoots down out of the pipes. As you move along you must defeat some crawlers and a few brutes. There's a part after this where you're moving along some catwalks and blood shoots out of the pipes at the screen. Avoid the blood, but don't stay still for too long. The platforms that make up the catwalk will fall shortly after you step on them. Once you're back on solid ground you will have to jump to avoid rollers with spikes on them. Past this area there are more crawlers and brutes to fight. Go through the door to end the side-scrolling part. Drop down when you get the chance and you'll have to impale two enemies on the spikes to raise the bus and continue on. Drop down again and after the train-derailing cutscene you'll have to fight some brute-type enemies dressed up like butchers. Throw them into the spinning fan blade for a good time. Eventually one will drop down wielding a cleaver. Defeat them all and jump down onto the platform with the fence. Here you'll have to jump onto some hand holds on the dangling train car. Reach the top quickly and jump off onto the adjacent rooftop before the car falls. As you move across the rooftop here, it will begin to collapse. Hurry across and jump the gap. Start mashing on X as you jump towards the butcher, then finish him off once you're on the same platform as he is. Moving forward causes the ceiling to collapse in front of you. A butcher will bust through the wall behind you at the same time. You should be able to get your hands on a cleaver by this point, so go to town on all the butchers behind the wall. After you clear them out, jump towards the highlight section of wall and mash on X to break through it. In this area the roof will fall on a butcher. You'll have to fight the next one, and after the roof falls in for a third time, you'll have to fight a bunch of them. Jump to the next highlighted section of wall and mash X again. Go through this room as it collapses. At the end the part you're standing on will start to collapse. Don't jump until the terror mask says to. Further on there is a room with some crawlers and a glowing crawler in it. After this you will be forced to jump up to hand holds. At the top there is another room with crawlers. Jump onto the scaffold and activate the lever. On this rooftop, jump to the highlighted debris and mash X to bust through it. After the cutscene, you'll have to take out some dogs. Move up the ramp and there are more dogs and the Aegis. Ignore the dogs for now and just attack the pillars where they are highlighted. This will bring the Aegis down where you can ram it, which stuns it. This allows you to kill the dogs and move on. Drop down and after the cutscene, take out the enemies. Now you'll have to grab the infinitely respawning enemies and throw them, using Y, into the gigantic mouth. If you get bogged down by bad guys, use a cleaver to clear them all out except one or two normal monsters. Feed the mouth 5-6 bad guys to end this phase. =============================================================================== Phase 4: The Meat Factory [WAL4] =============================================================================== Go up the stairs and the ramp. Push B and hold the thumbsticks in opposite directions to open the fleshy "door". At the next door you'll find some 2x4s. Eventually you will be trapped in a room with a bunch of crawlers and a few glowing crawlers. There are more 2x4s in here. Exit the room and you'll find a cleaver. A glowing crawler drops down in front of you. Take him and the normal crawler out. Kick open the gate and you will be trapped in another room, this time with some butchers. If you still have the cleaver this will be easy. Moving on, kick open the next gate and you will find yourself trapped in yet another room. This time however, you'll be forced to fight a mini-boss, some big guy with an even bigger arm. He'll do some damage if he hits you, but he's slow. Take the game's advice and ram him. If he's stunned you can try to land some blows on him. Most of his moves consist of swinging that huge arm around, but if you try to charge him from the front, he'll sometimes shoot blood out at you, so be careful. Once you have the option, use the Splatter Kill. Mash on Y, then hold both thumbsticks up to rip his head off. You can then use it as a weapon. The next room has infinitely respawning normal monsters. You may notice some devices to your left that look suspiciously like butt plugs. That's no accident. Pick up an enemy and impale him ass first on a butt plug. Do this until they are filled up, and they'll take a trip into the incinerator. This opens the door. Before you exit, watch out. The very next room is another incinerator that turns on and off in timed intervals. Go through the hallway, killing all of the crawlers. You must pry open a door by holding the thumbsticks in opposite direction. After this you will have to head down another long hallway, but before you do, you might notice another path right next to you. Enter it and turn the corner. There's a cleaver on the ground underneath a pipe that shoots out fire in timed intervals. Grab it and then go back to the main hallway. Go through it and you will find yourself trapped in a chamber with more incinerators. You will have to wait for the incinerator in the next room to turn off before you can move on. While you're waiting, you will have to fight some crawlers. In the next room, normal enemies are introduced. In the final room, you will fight only normal monsters while you wait for the door to open, and there are a lot of them. Move through the door when it opens. Now you will be deposited into another side-scrolling sequence. Move along the conveyor belt, and watch out for the presses and the crawlers. Jump up when you get the chance. Don't worry about all that fire on the back wall, it won't do anything. The next part is just timing your jumps across the gaps. Back on solid ground take care of the crawlers and the brute. There's a fire trap here. After this, there's another brute and a single row fire trap that you'll have to jump over. Grab the lead pipe, waste the crawlers, and move over the larger fire trap. After the moving platform there are more crawlers. Go through the door to exit the side-scrolling sequence. Lift the next door and you will have to deal with some more crawlers. Continue until you reach another room. Pull the lever and two doors will open. In the right side room, pull the lever and start tossing enemies into the grinders. Soon you'll have to deal with another one of the big guys with the big club arm and fight off infinitely respawning normal enemies. Now would be a good time to go into Berserker mode. After you fill the tube up with blood, go into left side room. In here all you have to do is impale enemies on six spikes. If you use the lead pipe in here you'll automatically hit someone onto a spike if you're near one. Back in the main room, the door behind you will open. Hop on the elevator and pull the lever. Keep going until you reach the room where the floor opens up to reveal giant spinning blades. Here, fight off the crawlers until the floor covers the blades back up, then move onto that piece. The floor you were standing on will retract, so hurry. The second piece of floor is the same deal. On the third piece you will have to fight off a few butchers. When the floor starts to retract, you will have to move backwards onto the second piece again. Fight the crawlers, then move back onto the third piece when you can. Try to finish off the butchers here as quickly as possible, because when the final piece of the floor comes together, you will have to deal with another big club-armed guy, plus any butchers that are left. Kill them all to open the door. Keep going until you reach a room with some cells in it and a shotgun in the middle. Pick up the shotgun and use it on one of the enemies in the cells. When you kill one guy, all of the cells will open, and butchers and glowing crawlers will come at you. The shotgun is pretty powerful, though, and it has a wide area of effect, so you can blow them all away in a couple of shots if they're grouped together. After they're dead, move onto the elevator, pick up the shotgun here, and press the button. Next you'll have to fight the guy with chainsaws for hands in a side-scrolling part. Use the shotgun until it's empty, then just hit him when you get the chance. This part isn't too difficult. After you take his life bar down to zero, you'll drop down and have to fight him for real. He's quick, but he still has to recover after he attacks, so use that window to your advantage. Ram if you can. After he's down to about half health, he'll start doing this attack where he jams his chainsaws into the floor that sends out a kind of shockwave. Jump over this and you will have time to land a few hits on him. Take his health down to zero and start mashing X. He'll disappear and his life bar will fill back up, so rinse and repeat. This time, however, he likes to charge at you, so watch for that. When his life bar is at zero again, start mashing X, then move both thumbsticks to the left to rip off one of his chainsaws. He will disappear AGAIN. This time, however, you've got one of his chainsaws, and you can literally just hit him with it over and over again and he won't be able to attack. Press B when prompted, then hold both thumbsticks up to finally take him down and end this phase. =============================================================================== Phase 5: The Corpse That Wouldn't Die [WAL5] =============================================================================== You'll be thrust into combat with some brutes at the very beginning of the stage. Take them all out and punch the eyeball. Keep going and pick up the chainsaw. This next hallway has some brutes, a couple of glowing crawlers, and more brutes. You can just run through all of them while holding the chainsaw. In the next room you'll have to deal with more brutes and a new type of enemy. They look like brutes but they have red on them and if you touch them you are automatically damaged and knocked back. For obvious reasons, you are going to want to use the chainsaw on those guys. When they're all done, two of the club-armed mini-bosses come out of the ground. The chainsaw makes short work of them, however. Punch through the broken wall and continue until you reach the room with the giant eyeball. Here you will have to throw brutes into the eye. When the eye loses all of its health, it'll start looking around the room really quickly. At this point, walk up to it and mash on B to pull it out. Keep going until you reach the next cutscene. At this point you'll have to jump to the highlighted hand holds. The platform will start to fall apart, so keep jumping around and avoid the debris falling from above. After this you'll drop down into a room with another Aegis and some normal enemies. Ram the aegis to stun it and then lay into it before it can teleport. Keep doing this until it's dead. Don't both with the regular enemies, especially if they have the green invulnerability aura around them. After that, jump up and smash down on the circular button in the middle, then use the 2x4s that are in this room to smack some of the enemies into the two open mouths. Punch the eyeball when it opens up and move on. In the next room you will have to deal with two of the club-armed enemies and one of the tentacle-armed demons. Focus on one at a time, and if you want to use Berserker, try to save it until you take down one of the club-armed enemies and the tentacled one jumps down. When they're finished, move on to the next room. Pick up the cleaver and start taking down enemies. There's a machete in here too, inside of a breakable box. Just keep killing enemies until they stop coming, and the middle will open up. Drop down and you'll enter a boss fight. Well, half of a boss fight, anyway. Take out the crawlers and avoid the snake's tongue, then move closer to it. It will slam its head down near you. Avoid it, then pummel the head when it's on the ground. Do this until you get him down to half health. At this point, a cutscene will play and this phase will end. =============================================================================== Phase 6: Beast With a Human Heart [WAL6] =============================================================================== You'll be deposited directly into a side scrolling sequence. Take out the crawlers and pull the lever. In the next area take out the brute and move through the rotating blades. watch out for more crawlers and spike traps. There's some kind of giant suspended baby that you need to beat the hell out of to continue. Continue on until you reach the elevator. At the top there is another brute and a lead pipe. Continue on, past the crawlers and the blade traps and take down another big baby. Drop down and roll under the debris, taking out crawlers as you go. You may notice a highlighted circle on the ground. Ignore it for now and roll under the stationary blades. When you reach the end, pull the lever. This turns all of the traps on, but also raises that circle. Make your way back over to it and slam down on it to raise the floor. Now you'll have to jump up hand holds while avoiding big spikes that the tentacles shoot out. At the top, jump to the highlighted section of wall and mash on X to bust through it. This ends the side-scrolling sequence. Go up the stairs and through the door. You'll have to feed enemies to another giant mouth to continue. In the next room, you'll need to enter the first door on your right and pull the lever in here. Next, enter the last door on the left, the one that's behind the gold doors, and pull the lever here. Now stand in front of the gold doors and they will open. In this room, smash down on the button and enemies will start spawning infinitely. Grab them and move up to the spikes, then press Y to impale them. After the first two spikes are used, a tentacle-armed demon will show up. Take him down and use the other two spikes, then smash the button again to open the doors. Get on the elevator and hit the lever. This part is somewhat difficult. The elevator will stop three times. Each time you will have to defend the gears from attacking enemies. Crawlers will attack the gears and some brutes will drop in just to keep you occupied. The gears do NOT take a lot of damage, so you will need to be hitting enemies non-stop to make sure they aren't broken. Take out the crawlers first, then focus on the brutes. Once the elevator reaches the top, move into the next room and destroy the console. After this you'll have to fight off a bunch of crawlers and butchers, then you will have to deal with two club-armed gentlemen. Take them down and you'll have a straight run to the boss chamber. This guy isn't that hard once you understand how to fight him. With most bosses, my tendency is to run away to avoid attacks. With this guy, you need to roll towards him, under his attacks. Here you can pummel him and use the Y button attacks to knock him back. Keep doing this until his life bar is drained, and you'll have to push down on both thumbsticks, then push up to rip out one of the huge things in his back and shove it into his head. After you do that, it's more of the same, except this time he has an attack where he smashes his fist into the ground and it sends out a ripple straight ahead of him, so watch out for that. After you get his life bar down to zero again, push left on the thumbsticks, then push right to rip out another thing. Since you've now got a weapon, the last part of this fight won't take long at all. He has a new move where he smashes the ground and sends out a shockwave. Drain his bar one last time to finish the fight and this phase. =============================================================================== Phase 7: Scream Park [WAL7] =============================================================================== Bust down the door in front of you. Keep going until you have to pull a lever to restore power to the place. At this point you'll have to fight off clowns, which are like more agile brutes that can breathe fire. There are some 2x4s under the ticket stands here. Fight off a few waves of these guys and the mouth will open up. In the next area you will have to fight off some enemies. You can throw them onto the spikes if you want to open the doors next to them, but you don't have to. After this you'll be in an area with more enemies and a baseball bat in the middle. The point here is to hit or throw an enemy onto the spikes on the test-your-strength machine, then slam down on it. Do this about three times and it'll break and crash through the wall. Keep going, through the tunnel of love, and you'll find yourself facing the giant snake from Phase 5. It's the same routine, just hit it's head when it smashes it into the ground. When it's health is low enough, hit B to finally kill this thing. Jump into the hole it leaves. Down here you'll have to take out a bunch of clowns and a club-armed monster before continuing. After a bit, a tentacle-armed monster and some other baddies will pop out of a door. In the next hallway you'll see Jennifer running away. Don't go that way. Instead go down the hallway to the left. Kick open the door at the end and grab the baseball bat. Down here you'll have to take out a bunch of clowns, then you'll face some new enemies. These guys take a lot of damage, can deal a lot of damage, and like to jump in the air and spit at you. They will keep you pre-occupied for some time unless you use Berserker. There are some 2x4s in the area, though. After they're all dead, a big monster with a weird looking lower jaw will pop out of the swamp. His only real attack is to charge at you, so just roll out of the way and land a few hits. Do this until he's dead, then move up the stairs to finish this phase. =============================================================================== Phase 8: Reflections in Blood [WAL8] =============================================================================== Keep going until you reach a part where there are three weapons highlighted on the ground. Pick one up and start going to town on the clowns that show up. I'm not sure what the exact criteria is for opening the door here. I picked up the chainsaw, killed the clowns, hit the middle eye, picked up the chainsaw again, kill the clowns again, then hit the left eyeball and the door opened. The left eyeball might be the one you are supposed to hit, or you might just have to hit any two of them. Anyway, once the door is open, move on. In the next building, after the side-scrolling part, you'll have to move through the rooms by breaking the appropriate mirrors, and there is a time limit. Break the left mirror in the first room, and then the mirror directly ahead of you in the second room. Break the right mirror in the third room and the right mirror in the fourth and final room. After the brief side-scrolling part you'll get sucked into the mirror for the boss fight. The boss? None other than yourself, of course. And you are no pushover. Seriously, Evil Rick is just as fast and just as powerful as you are. He will go to town on you. Dodging him is hard as hell since he can control his ram move, which is what he uses the most. Your best bet is to just try to bounce around him a lot and land what hits you can. Use Splatter Siphon and Splatter Slash/Smash to deal serious damage, if you've got the Necro segments to spare. Once he's dead, you'll have to fight off a few waves of weaker Evil Ricks, which isn't hard. After this you will have to fight main Evil Rick again, except this time he uses Splatter Slash and Splatter Smash. Weirdly, this part is easier than the first one, since it's easier to dodge the Splatter moves than it is to dodge the ram. Also, I suggest you get at least three segments in your Necro Meter, because after you take his life bar down to zero, another Evil Rick comes out and goes into Berserker mode. Also, a bunch of the less powerful versions will be there to make you unhappy, so go into Berserker mode as soon as you can and wipe them all out and put the hurt on the main bad guy. Once you're able to, perform a takedown by holding both thumbsticks up to rip his arms off. This ends the phase. =============================================================================== Phase 9: The Ruined Heart [WAL9] =============================================================================== You're back where you started, the foyer of the mansion! Go towards the left stairs and you'll be forced to fight two of the club-armed monsters. After they're down, you'll have to fight a red and black version of the club-armed monster that's stronger. The main difference here is that it does more damage and its attacks last longer. After it's dead, go up the stairs and through the hallway. Collect the 2x4s. In the next room, you'll have to deal with three of the tentacle-armed monsters at the same time. This is a good spot to use Berserker. After this you'll enter a room where you have to fight the final boss from Phase 7, the one with the messed up jaw. This time it's a bit harder, since you're stuck in a tiny room with him. Still, just roll the instant you see him shake his head and you should be fine. Take him down and you'll have to punch into his asshole and pull out his intestines. Yeah. Immediately after you kill him, prepare to fight another giant snake. Use the same tactics as before to eliminate him. In the next room you have to feed a giant mouth. Before you can do that, you must take out the two tentacle-armed monsters. Once they're gone, some red brutes will come out. You can't touch these guys without taking damage, so there's no chance of throwing them in. After this, you'll get more red brutes with some regular enemies sprinkled in. Throw those regular enemies into the mouth when you get the chance. Once the mouth is open, go inside. You'll have to deal with three red brutes before you can get the chainsaw. Once you have it, deal with all the other brutes on this walkway, and then attack the eyeball. Press B to pull it out when it's damaged enough. In the next room you'll have to take out a wave of crawlers, a wave of red brutes, and then two of the red and black club-armed monsters. After they're all dead, jump into the sphincter to start a side-scrolling sequence. Down here you'll have to deal with normal brutes. Watch out for tentacles popping out at you as you move along. You'll soon get on an elevator. As it goes up, watch out for the tentacles that shoot out from the sides. At the top, pick up the 2x4s and kill the brutes. You'll have to jump up using hand holds after this. Make your way past the crushing traps, the brutes, and the tentacles, then drop down the hole to end the side-scrolling sequence. You are now at the heart of the mansion, literally. There are 2x4s and a machete in here. Take out the crawlers and then the two red and black club-armed monsters. You'll then have to fight the thing with the messed up jaw and the anus that sticks out. After this, the heart will lower behind some bones that raise up. The best way to do this is to use the infinitely respawning normal enemies to boost your Necro Meter, then hit the bones with a Splatter Slash or a Splatter Smash. Once all the bones are gone, walk up to the heart and press B to end this phase. =============================================================================== Phase 10: The Wicker Bride [WA10] =============================================================================== From the beginning, you'll have three minutes to make it to the portal. Kick open the first gate and watch out for the brute that rushes to grab you from the left. Try to ignore all of the enemies here. Kick open the second gate. Here, you'll have to kill a certain amount of enemies before the next gate will open. They include brutes and glowing crawlers. When you get a chance, break open the crates in the corner of this courtyard to find a sword. After the sword breaks, you will have to use Berserker. This is the only way I've been able to make it through in time. Try to wait and use it when a new wave of enemies shows up. Once the gate opens, hurry through the portal. You'll get some time added to the clock. This part is a serious pain in the ass. Run as fast as you possible can past every enemy until you reach the courtyard where four spitters spawn. Try your best to attack and dodge until you've got some of your Necro Meter filled up. There are two more spitters further on that you can also use if you'd like. The point here is to get at least three bars in your Necro Meter. Before you can enter the next portal, you have to defeat THREE of the red and black club-armed at the same time. You will not do this unless you activate Berserker. Focus on one at a time and make sure he's dead before you move on to the next one! After they're all dead, a portal will appear. Run into it. You'll now have a couple of minutes to deal with the spitters and climb the wicker man tower. After the cutscene, move the thumbstick rapidly left and right to shake off Leonora. This ends the phase. =============================================================================== Phase 11: Blood Eclipse [WA11] =============================================================================== Move down the stairs and kick open the gate. A meteor will crash in front of you and you'll be forced to fight a giant snake and two glowing crawlers. Focus on the crawlers, then attack the snake. After this you'll have to fight another snake and two tentacle-armed monsters at the same time. Focus on the monsters and try to keep your distance from the snake. Watch it's tongue for the sweeping attack and jump over it. It'll damage the tentacle-armed enemies. After you kill them, move across the rubble and up the stairs. There's a cleaver in a box to the right of the stairs. In the next area you'll have to deal with two red and black club-armed enemies and one tentacle-armed enemy. If you have to, kick open the doors scattered around to get boreworms. After they're dead you'll have to deal with five tentacle-armed monsters. After this, prepare to fight two of the phase 7 bosses. Once they're dead, you may finally go through the big gold doors. Before you do this, look on the opposite side of the courtyard as the doors and you'll see a set of stairs. There's a shotgun at the top. Inside the mausoleum, go down either set of stairs and into a room. Here you'll have to fight off a couple of waves of enemies, including some butchers. When the eyeballs open up, face the middle three, and hit the left one and the middle one. I'm not sure if the left one and the middle one are the correct options, or if you just have to hit all three, but if you get one wrong then you'll have to fight off some more enemies, including a wave of tentacle-armed demons. There should be a lead pipe in here and tons of cleavers to help you out. Anyway, after you hit the two correct eyeballs, go back upstairs and pry open the door that was locked. Pry open the next door, and watch out for a red brute that tries to grab you the moment you walk outside. There's a lead pipe in a box before you get to the next two red brutes. After you kill them, move forward until you see two more brutes. If you go left instead of right, there's a box with a chainsaw in it. Grab it and kill the four brutes. At the portal, fight off the red brutes and the tentacle-armed demon. This is very easy if you have the chainsaw. Kick open the next door and you'll have to outrun the meteors that are smashing around you. This sequence is pretty short. At the end, press the Left Bumper to catch the meteor and jam on X to throw it away. After this you'll get stuck on the floor of the next courtyard. Fight off the crawlers and glowing crawlers, then focus on the tentacle-armed demon. Everytime the floor drops, expect another wave of crawlers. Once they're all dead you'll have to deal with two red and black club-armed monsters. After that you will have to fight an anus monster. Once he's dead the platform that you're on will break apart and you'll start falling. While you're falling, move out of the way of the obstacles. Once you hit bottom, take out the eye before the walls close in. If it closes while you're hitting it, it will take your arm off. Use it as a weapon to speed up the process. After this, deal with the Aegis and the four tentacle-armed demons, and step into the portal. You might have to use Berserker to take most of them down, since the floor will slowly collapse as you fight them. The portal deposits you into a side-scrolling sequence. Note that you have limited side to side movement, too. There's a lead pipe in a box around here, so use it to take out the spitters. Keep going and you'll exit the side-scrolling part. Eventually you come across Dr. West again and you will have to deal with two Evil Ricks. Berserker mode is ideal here. =============================================================================== Phase 12: The Devil Made Flesh [WA12] =============================================================================== This Phase is just one boss fight against the corrupted, and it doesn't even last that long. All you need to do is fight off the waves of enemies that come for Jen and keep her alive. You'll want to use crowd control moves a lot to take down multiple enemies. Splatter Slash is decent, but Splatter Smash, especially with upgrades, will be your real friend here. It also helps if you've upgraded the Necro Meter. You won't really have to worry about your own health, since all the enemies head straight for Jen. Once the giant monster gets close to you, you'll enter a quicktime event. Finish it and watch the cutscene to end the game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ++++++++++++++++++ || || || Collectibles || || || ++++++++++++++++++ =============================================================================== Gramophone Records [COL1] =============================================================================== _______________________ |Phase 1: Satan's Masque| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. Near the beginning of the level you will enter a room and hear Jen scream. At this point, two monsters will jump through the windows and some text will pop up telling you how to perform combos. The record is to the left of the door you used to enter the room. 2. You'll come to a part where you have to break a bunch of boxes and then kick open a door. This will be the first time you encounter boreworms, and some text will pop up explaining that stepping on them will give you blood. After you enter the room, look right. 3. After the cutscene where you get your arm ripped off by some big monster with a tentacle, you'll be thrown through the floor. There will be two open doorways, one to your left and one straight ahead. Go through the one straight ahead. The record is in the back right corner. 4. After the cutscene where you get your arm ripped off by some big monster with a tentacle, you'll be thrown through the floor. There will be two open doorways, one to your left and one straight ahead. Go through the one to your left. The record is in the back right corner. ___________________________ |Phase 2: The Doll That Bled| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. This first record doesn't appear until you're well into the mission. You'll enter a room and a very short cutscene will play showing four crawlers eating a bunch of body parts on a bed. Included in the body parts are two heads. After this you'll have to fight a bunch of the crawlers. After you do that, look to the right of the door you entered from. 2. There's a part you'll come to where you have to move through a hallway. In this hallway, some of the walls have spikes on them, and the entire wall will shoot out and retract. After you pass these spike traps and fight some brutes, you'll be back in a mansion room. In this room, look to your right. 3. Just after you get the last record. You'll notice that there are three sets of doors you can access. The main one in front of you, and the two doors on either side of the previous record. Go through the right side door and kill the crawlers. The record is in the back left corner here. _________________________________ |Phase 6: Beast With a Human Heart| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. There's a part where you have to throw enemies into a gigantic mouth to continue. After you do this and walk into the mouth, you'll be in a room with gold doors. Go back to the blue double doors, you came in from, the ones that you can't open, and face the gold doors. Now look at the first door to your right. Enter that room and look left for the record. 2. There's a part where you have to throw enemies into a gigantic mouth to continue. After you do this and walk into the mouth, you'll be in a room with gold doors. Move into the small passage to the left of the gold doors and enter the door here. Go all the way to the room and look left once you enter it. The record is on a shelf. 3. After riding an elevator up, you'll come to a part where you have to destroy a console, fight off waves of enemies, and then take down two of the club-armed monsters. After they're dead, a door will open. Go through that door and look right. The record is in front of some x-rays. _________________________ |Phase 9: The Ruined Heart| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. Near the beginning you will enter a room where you have to take on three of the tentacle-armed monsters at the same time. After you kill them, the record is in the left side of this room in plain view. 2. You'll come to a part where you have to fight two tentacle-armed monsters and then throw some enemies into a giant mouth. After you do this, but before you go into the mouth, look around the room you are in. The last record is on the left side. =============================================================================== Photo Pieces [COL2] =============================================================================== _______________________ |Phase 1: Satan's Masque| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. Near the beginning of the level you will enter a room and hear Jen scream. At this point, two monsters will jump through the windows. There is a Gramophone Record in this room. After you leave it, you'll see a statue get thrown against the wall. The photo piece is right there in the middle of the floor. 2. After the cutscene where you get your arm ripped off by some big monster with a tentacle, you'll be thrown through the floor. There will be two open doorways, one to your left and one straight ahead. Go through the one straight ahead. The photo piece is in the middle of the floor. 3. Shortly after the last piece, you'll come to a part where you have to jump up and smash a hole in the floor. There is a green light coming from the floor where you are supposed to do this. Before you do it, look to the left of the green light to find this photo piece. 4. After punching the eyeball and going downstairs, you'll enter a room with a couple of brutes and some 2x4s on the floor. Rick will note that the brutes are former classmates of his from his stats class. After you kill them, look in one of the empty cells for the photo piece. ___________________________ |Phase 2: The Doll That Bled| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. At the beginning you will enter a room with two valves, one on each side. Turning the rightmost valve will open a door with some brutes behind it. Kill them and look in the back corner for the photo piece. 2. After you exit the side-scrolling sequence, you will enter a room with two gates, one on each side. You must lift these gates and kill the enemies inside to move on. The photo piece is in the back left corner of the room behind the left gate. 3. There's a part you'll come to where you have to move through a hallway. In this hallway, some of the walls have spikes on them, and the entire wall will shoot out and retract. After you pass these spike traps and fight some brutes, you'll be back in a mansion room. There are three accessible doors here. The main one straight ahead, and two doors on the right, on either side of the second Gramophone Record. Go through the left side door and take out the glowing crawler. The piece is on the floor in the back. 4. A little after the last piece, you'll see a very short cutscene where a few glowing crawlers are crushed by a piece of furniture. In this hallway you will have to dodge piece of furniture as they slide down towards you. The photo piece is in the first alcove to the right. It's hard to miss. ___________________________________ |Phase 3: In The Shadow of the Abyss| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. At the very beginning, you'll have to move forward, then right. You'll fight some enemies in this corner. If you continue to move forward, towards the large yellow machine/vehicle, you will see the photo piece on the ground. 2. You'll come to a part where you have to raise a bus by impaling two enemies on spikes. After you raise it, go under it and look right. The photo piece is under some barrels. 3. After you have to climb up a train car and run across a crumbling rooftop, you'll find yourself inside a building with a butcher. Kill him and move forward and a small cutscene plays where the ceiling collapses and another butchers busts through the wall behind you. After you kill everyone, look on the right side of the hole in the wall that the butcher created. 4. Near the end of the stage, you'll have to jump towards some highlighted debris and mash X to bust through it. As soon as Rick gets through, a cutscene ensues where he's grabbed by a floating tentacled monster with one eye and flung to the ground. In this particular area you will not fight the cycloptic squid, but instead will take on a bunch of squid dogs. The photo piece is on this floor, right below the platform where the main squid, called the Aegis, is floating. _________________________ |Phase 4: The Meat Factory| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. At one point you will find yourself trapped in a room fighting a mini-boss. This guy is pretty big and has a pretty big right arm that looks a bit like a huge club. After you defeat him, the door behind him will open so you can continue on. The photo piece is in the hallway just after this door. It's almost impossible to miss. 2. There's a part where you have to grab some enemies and impale them on devices that look like butt plugs. Once you do this they will all file into a chamber and be incinerated. The door will open after you do this, leading into a hallway. The photo piece is in this hallway, on the left side, when the light above you is yellow. 3. You'll eventually enter a room and a very short cutscene will play where the metal retracts from a window so that you can see three tanks. You will then have to pull a lever, which causes two of the tanks to move down into the floor. This also opens up two doors on either side of the room. If you are facing the tanks, go into the room on your right. The photo piece is by the barrels. 4. In a room with a bunch of cells, you will pick up your first shotgun. A cutscene shows it to you when you first enter the room. After the cells open and you kill all of the enemies, look in the 2nd cell on the right. _____________________________________ |Phase 5: The Corpse That Wouldn't Die| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. At the very beginning, after you punch the eyeball, go up the stairs. The photo piece is at the top, to the left. 2. There's a room where you have to throw some brutes into a gigantic eyeball. You will then have to mash on B to pull the eyeball out. After you do this, go up the stairs. At the top there is a small room to your left with some boxes in it. The photo piece is on the floor under the boxes. 3. You'll come to a room with an Aegis and a bunch of normal enemies. You will have to smash down on a circular button in the middle of the floor and throw the enemies into two open mouths. This causes an eyeball to open up that you can punch. Once you do that, you can go through a door and enter a hallway. The picture is laying right in the middle of the floor, amongst the boxes. It's almost impossible to miss. 4. After you take down two club-armed dudes and one tentacle-armed dude in one room, you'll enter this room. There's a cleaver at the entrance, and when you enter, a short cutscene plays showing you a head impaled on a spike. There are three more spikes that you need to put heads onto. Use the cleaver to hit a couple of enemies, then drop it and pick up a head. Rinse and repeat. If the cleaver breaks, there's a machete in a box in here, or you can use Splatter Slash (LT + X). Once you've impaled three heads, a door will open with the photo piece behind it. _________________________________ |Phase 6: Beast With a Human Heart| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. After you finish the side-scrolling sequence, you'll come upon a short cutscene where you see an actual heart connected to the mansion. After this, go up the stairs and destroy the boxes next to the door. The photo piece is under them. 2. There's a part where you have to throw enemies into a gigantic mouth to continue. After you do this and walk into the mouth, you'll be in a room with gold doors. Move into the small passage to the right of the gold doors and enter the door here. The photo piece is straight ahead of you on the floor. Watch out for a glowing crawler. 3. After the room where you have to impale four enemies on spikes and then hit a button to light them on fire and open the door, you'll move down a long hallway. At the end you will have to pry open some doors to an elevator. The photo piece is on the ground directly in front of you, on the elevator. 4. After riding an elevator up, you'll come to a part where you have to destroy a console, fight off waves of enemies, and then take down two of the club-armed monsters. After they're dead, a door will open. Go through that door and look left, on the floor. ____________________ |Phase 7: Scream Park| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. At the very beginning you will have to break down the door. In this room, in the back left corner, there is a ticket stand that you can break. The photo piece is under it. 2. After your first encounter with the clowns, you'll enter an area with some games. The point here is to throw an enemy onto the top spike to open the door to the right of it. Throw an enemy onto the top spike of the left most game to open the door. The photo piece is behind it. 3. You will eventually find yourself moving through a tunnel of love, albeit without any water in it. The photo piece is on the floor near the end of this part. It's almost impossible to miss this piece. 4. After you defeat the giant snake and jump into the hole and defeat this first set of enemies. Keep going until a tentacle-armed monster and some other enemies bust out of a door. After you fight them, the game will load for a second, and the door ahead of you will open. In this hallway, you'll see Jennifer at the other end and she'll run away. Go to where she ran to find the photo piece on the floor in plain sight. _____________________________ |Phase 8: Reflections in Blood| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. At the very beginning, look left and you will see two breakable hot dog stands. The photo piece is under one of them. 2. You'll come to a game called Neptunes where you have to pick up one of three weapons and kill some clowns, then punch an eyeball to open the door. After this you will be on a stone path. You'll find the photo piece laying on the ground at the end of this path, before you go into the next building. 3. Just after the last photo piece you'll enter a house of mirrors. You will have 1 minute to make it through. To get the photo piece, break the left mirror in the first room, then break the right mirror in the next room. The photo piece is behind this mirror, along with an evil copy of Jennifer. 4. After the timed section where you have to punch through the mirrors, you'll be in a side-scrolling part. The photo piece is on the floor here. The only way you can miss this is by jumping over it. _________________________ |Phase 9: The Ruined Heart| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. At the very beginning, go up the right set of the stairs. The photo piece is on the a little balcony type thing that sticks out up here. 2. After taking down the three tentacle-armed monsters in one room, you'll be in another room where you have to fight the Phase 7 boss and then a giant snake. After you kill them, look on the left side of the room for the photo piece. 3. At one point you will have to feed a mouth and then enter it. After a long walkway you will have to then damage a huge eyeball and pull it out. In the room after this, look to your right as soon as you enter. 4. After the side-scrolling sequence you'll be in a room with a large heart. The photo piece is on the left side of the room. __________________________ |Phase 10: The Wicker Bride| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. At the very beginning, turn left and break the boxes next to the wall. The photo piece is beneath them. 2. After you kick open the second gate, go right. There are some boxes in the corner here. Break them open to reveal the photo piece and a sword. 3. After you go through the first portal and pass the Phase 7 boss, you'll watch a short cutscene where all of the townspeople are transformed into spitting enemies. Then they will surround you. The photo piece is under some crates and barrels behind you, to your right. 4. Soon after the last photo piece, you'll come to a part where you go up some short steps towards a gate. A portal forms as you get close, and a spitter will jump out at you from both sides as you approach the gate. In the right alcove where one of the spitters jumped from, the photo piece is under some barrels and crates. _______________________ |Phase 11: Blood Eclipse| _______________________________________________________________________________ 1. At the very beginning, turn around and go up the stairs. The photo piece is up here behind a birdbath. 2. After you defeat the two giant snakes at the beginning you will have to go up some stairs. To the right of these stairs there is a cleaver in a box. Grab it, you will need it. Keep going and kick open the gate and go down the stairs. A meteor will crash onto those stairs. Face the meteor and look to the right of the stairs. There are some small doors here you can kick in. You will not be able to kick in the second set of doors. You must use a weapon to break them open. The photo piece is behind these doors. 3. After ripping out a giant eye, you'll fight an Aegis and a few tentacle-armed monsters. After this, jump into the portal and you'll be in a side-scrolling section. Go left for a bit and the photo piece is on the other side of a hole in the ground. 4. Shortly after the last photo piece, you'll hit a cutscene with Dr. West, and then you'll have to fight off two evil versions of yourself. After they're dead, kick open the gate to the right and go up the stairs here. The photo piece is at the end behind some birdbaths. _______________ |Survival Arenas| _______________________________________________________________________________ There is one picture in each of the survival arenas. You unlock the arenas by playing through the campaign. While playing in an arena, boxes will drop on every wave. Every five waves, inside one of those boxes, you will find a photo piece. There are four pieces, so on the twentieth (and final) wave, the picture will be assembled. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- +++++++++++++++ || || || Technical || [TECH] || || +++++++++++++++ Any website may use this guide, as long as it is kept intact and proper credit is given.
